What is a Cookie?
A cookie is a small piece of data sent from a website and stored in the user’s web browser while the user is browsing it, it is used to distinguish one user from another user and it resides on the specific user’s computer. Every time the user loads the website, the browser sends the cookie back to the server to notify the user’s previous activity. They are designed to hold a small amount of data specific to a particular client and website, and can be accessed either by the web server or the client computer.
